Apple has unveiled the new iPhone 17

At an event held on September 9, titled "Awe-Dropping," Apple introduced the latest iPhone 17 series. This lineup includes four unique models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the all-new iPhone Air. Here is everything you need to know about the new iPhones...

iPhone Air - A First from Apple

The iPhone Air, which is only 5.6 mm thick and crafted from titanium, captures attention with its design and specifications.

The new iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display, Ceramic Shield 2 protection, and a durable titanium body. Apple emphasized that this model is the "most durable iPhone of all time."

According to Apple, the A19 Pro chip at the heart of the device provides MacBook Pro-level speed. The iPhone Air is also equipped with the brand-new N1 chip, which manages Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The iPhone Air is equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera system. It supports 24MP standard photos, various focal lengths (26mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 52mm), and photographic styles. The front camera's Center Stage feature makes video calls more dynamic. Additionally, with the new dual-capture feature, users can use both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

The iPhone Air will be available in four colors: Black, White, Light Gold, and Blue.

iPhone 17 Pro | 17 Pro Max

The iPhone 17 Pro models feature a redesigned rear chassis and camera. The screen sizes remain unchanged; the iPhone 17 Pro has a 6.3’’ display, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 6.9’’ display. However, there are significant changes on the back of the device. This year, an aluminum design dominates instead of titanium. They also feature larger batteries, which slightly increases the thickness. All iPhone 17 Pro models feature a 48-megapixel rear camera, 8x zoom, and simultaneous recording with front and rear cameras.

Distinguished by its new design, powerful system, and advanced camera features, the iPhone 17 Pro promises a professional experience, especially for photo and video capture.

The A19 Pro chip is supported by a new liquid cooling system, making the device cooler and more stable even during prolonged use.

For the first time, Apple offers Ceramic Shield 2 protection on both the front and the back, claiming it significantly increases scratch resistance.

The Telephoto lens now offers 4x (100 mm) optical zoom, and with Apple's Fusion feature, this zoom increases to 8x (200 mm). Digital zoom reaches up to 48x.

The iPhone 17 Pro & iPhone 17 Pro Max will be available in three colors: Blue, Orange, and Silver.

iPhone 17

The most accessible model in the series, iPhone 17, shares a very similar design to the current iPhone 16, though the screen size has increased from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. Unlike the previous series, the display now features a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 60Hz.

The iPhone 17 is also equipped with Ceramic Shield 2, a new coating developed by Apple that offers three times more scratch resistance and improved anti-reflective properties. The screen provides 3000 nits of brightness, the highest level in iPhone history.

The iPhone 17 uses a dual-lens camera system: a 48-megapixel Fusion camera with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Apple has increased the front camera for the new iPhone 17 series to 18 megapixels. In comparison, iPhone 16 models have a 12-megapixel front camera.

The iPhone 17 records 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video with creative features like Cinematic mode and Action mode.

The iPhone 17 will be available in five different pastel colors: Lavender, Green, Blue, Black, and White.
